Manufacturing Engineering Internship

Urschel designs and manufactures industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Become proficient with all of the systems used at Urschel Laboratories
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with process development
  • Provide technical support to the Design Engineering Department
  • Provide technical support to the Tool & Die Department
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers with any process related shop issues
  • Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited University, with a major in an engineering discipline
  • CAD knowledge is a plus (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Must be entering Junior or Senior level standing with a current GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Position to start summer 2023 (May 15 through Aug 11)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment
  • Must possess a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality
