Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for an Investment Foundry Saw Operator/Abrasive Finisher for our day shift operations working full-time Monday-Friday and may require working on Saturday based on workloads.

Starting pay is $25.62/hour

A day in the life of an Investment Foundry Saw Operator/Abrasive Finisher cuts off castings from the gating systems using proper saw, and segregates returns for re-melt without alloy cross-contamination. Operates floor grinders, sanders, pneumatic air tools, power hand tools and aluminum oxide/glass bead cabinets and selects the proper grade of grinding wheel and the proper grit of sanding discs abrasive finish castings to Urschel quality standards. Uses hydraulic press and appropriate fixtures to straighten castings.  Assists with the pouring operations when needed. 
 
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of heavy manual labor, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations, ability to solve math problems, and ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints.
