Urschel, a 100% employee owned company, has an opening for a Floating Operator for our 2nd shift operations working full-time Monday-Thursday and may require working on Friday based on workloads.
 
Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.

Starting pay is $26.66/hour + 5% Shift Differential + Annual Performance Bonus (avg 11% of Gross Wages)

A day in the life of a Floating Operator performs a wide range of production jobs throughout the shop as assigned by production manager/department supervisors. Operate machine-tools, such as manual or CNC machine tools, hydraulic presses, parts markers, and cut-off saws.

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years related experience and/or training, ability to interpret engineering prints and blue prints, ability to solve math equations, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situation.
