A day in the life of an Abrasive Finisher includes grinding, sanding, or polishing frames and/or fabricating sheet metal parts. Sets up and operates grinders, sanders, and pneumatic hand tools, and selects proper abrasive products for each operation. Repairs imperfections on frames and sheet metal by welding and uses abrasive blasters to obtain desired surface finish.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year heavy manual labor, ability to use measuring instruments, solve math problems, basic mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Physical demands include continuously standing for long periods of time. Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs.

This position writes and modifies programs for computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery in order to mill, turn, punch, drill, broach, and ream stainless steel, bronze, and plastic.
Job responsibilities include adhering to established programming specifications and correct faulty programming. They will also make general decisions as to quality, tolerances and operation sequence.
The candidate must possess a high degree of familiarity with G-code programming and operating a variety of CNC metalworking tools. Experience with Esprit CAM software is highly desired. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and use of precision measuring tools. This position also requires at least three years manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong math skills, strong mechanical aptitude and solid organizational and troubleshooting talents. A two-year technical or engineering degree is desired, but not required.
