Urschel, a 100% employee owned company, has an opening for a Tool Assembler for our 2nd shift operations working full-time Monday-Thursday and may require working on Friday based on workloads.
 
Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.


Starting pay is $27.21/hour + 5% Shift Differential

A day in the life of a Tool Assembler will assemble all types of tooling to support Urschel production machining departments using necessary tools and inspection instruments to accomplish these tasks.  Responsible for inspection, repair and timely delivery of tooling to the machinist. Selection of the correct tooling components for the specified operation along with documentation of tool information. Experienced with precision gaging equipment along with sound understanding of machining practices, materials and software. Requirements include; a high school diploma or equivalent, two years machining experience, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations, ability to solve math problems, and ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints.
