Urschel, a 100% employee owned company, is seeking a Staff Accountant. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Staff Accountant will have responsibility for the completion of monthly account reconciliations, including multiple bank account reconciliations.  Additionally, will have responsibility for maintaining the company’s fixed asset records using Sage Fixed Assets (FAS) and for timely and accurate filing of all sales tax reporting requirements across multiples states. Additional projects will be assigned to this position to assist the finance department in meeting the overall goals of the organization.
 
Requirements include;  a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and must be a hands-on team player with strong interpersonal skills capable of professionally interacting with all levels of the organization. A strong attention to detail, an inquisitive mind, and the willingness to take ownership of the assigned accounts will also help this candidate be successful. Experience in a manufacturing environment and prior exposure to Sage FAS is a plus.
