Urschel, a 100% employee owned company, has an opening for a Punch Press Die Setter & Operator for our day shift operations working full-time Monday-Friday and may require working on Saturday based on workloads.
 
Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.


Starting pay is $24.87/hour + Annual Performance Bonus (avg 11% of Gross Wages)

A day in the life of a Punch Press Die Setter and Operator sets up, operates, and maintains automatic and manual punch presses for making a wide variety of parts and fabricated shapes from stainless steel and other materials. Performs multiple functions to meet engineering print specifications, while maintaining tolerances. Applies efficient methods and job procedures to complete jobs.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years manufacturing experience, strong math skills, ability to use precision measuring equipment, good mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
