Urschel Development Corporation (UDC), a subsidiary of Urschel Laboratories, operates Vale Park Village Apartments in Valparaiso, Indiana. UDC is seeking experienced candidates for the position of a full-time Leasing Agent.
The Leasing Agent holds a key role in presenting a positive first impression for potential residents and establishing themselves as a resource for current residents while keeping a professional and organized office. The primary responsibilities of the position include:

• Attract customers and secure leases through a positive online presence; property, amenities, and community knowledge; and strong selling and interpersonal skills
  • Monitor online presence
  • Successfully market property
  • Respond to customer inquiries
  • Cold-call and solicit potential customers
• Provide exceptional customer service while building community relations
  • Demonstrate helpfulness, accurate decision making and follow through
  • Conduct move-in orientation and unit inspections
  • Resolve resident complaints, requests, concerns, and other communications
  • Publish resident communications and manage community events
• Demonstrate timeliness, organization, professional presence, and task completion
  • Effectively utilize property management and other software
  • Operate independently and in a team setting
  • Complete routine reports and data entry accurately and in a timely manner
  • Keep files, paperwork and information organized and secure

Qualified applicants must be dependable, self-motivated, and proficient in Microsoft Office software. Experience with YARDI property management software is a plus. Office hours are from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
