Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Customer Service Technician to join our team. The Customer Service Technician provides technical support on the operation, maintenance, and training of Urschel machinery.
Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.
$32.29/Hour + Off Hours Support Rate + Travel Rate

The Customer Service Technician provides technical support on the operation, maintenance, and training of Urschel machinery. Primary job responsibilities are assisting Urschel staff, customers with machine optimization, product application, troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment issues. The position will work from the corporate office in Chesterton, Indiana and at customer facilities as scheduled.
Minimum of one to two years’ related experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing machinery. Candidates must have a strong mechanical background/ability, be detail oriented, highly self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills. Experience in electrical a plus. Traveling is required up to 40% or greater throughout the US and potentially abroad and the ability to work flexible hours. Must have a valid driver’s license and have the ability to acquire a passport.
