Urschel, a 100% employee owned company, has an opening for a CNC Knife Grinder for our second shift operations working full-time Monday-Thursday and may require working on Friday based on workloads.

Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Starting pay is $26.66/hour + 5% Shift Premium + Annual Performance Bonus (avg 11.4% of Gross Wages)

A day in the life of a CNC Knife Grinder performs repetitive grinding to acquire accurate dimensions on slicing knives and knife clamps. Sets up and simultaneously operates manual and CNC plunge grinding machines and utilizes a variety of precision gaging equipment. Operates Fanuc robot to assist in loading and unloading knives.
 
Requirements include; a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years related experience and/or training, strong math skills, blueprint reading, solid organizational and troubleshooting talents.
